Purpose of the role: To support the delivery of Te Pou Ramaroa by assisting whānau and taiohi to overcome barriers and improve educational outcomes.

Te Pou Ramaroa Project Overview

Te Pou Ramaroa is an education and wellbeing initiative designed to improve educational achievement and attendance for Māori learners and whānau. The project aims to connect whānau with services, remove barriers to learning, and strengthen engagement with local education providers.

Key Outcomes

• Whānau and taiohi re-engage with education and wellbeing services.

• Education Support Days are delivered effectively.

• Barriers to education are identified and addressed.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Lead to achieve deliverables.

• Assist in planning and running Education Support Days.

• Provide direct support to whānau and taiohi.

• Maintain accurate engagement records.

Skills and Experience

• Experience working with whānau and taiohi.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Understanding of Māori values and tikanga.
