Expression of Interest
Are you passionate about Aotea’s moana and keen to build skills that support the health of our marine environment? Tai Tū Moana is offering free training for aspiring ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) operators, and we’re seeking dedicated local people to take part.
This two-day, hands-on course will introduce participants to ROV systems, underwater survey methods, and safe operating procedures. Successful trainees may have opportunities to contribute to future marine work around Aotea.
Who We’re Looking For
We want people who:
Care deeply about Aotea’s marine environment.
Are reliable, motivated, and eager to learn.
Are committed to undertaking future ROV work with Tai Tū Moana.
Can participate fully across the two training days (28 February to 1 March - dates TBC based on interest).
No previous experience is required - just enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in supporting Aotea’s moana space.
