Our Kaupapa

We’re excited to share that Toitū Aotea’s first Community-Led Development (CLD) project is underway, with a new pizza oven installation at Kawa Marae.

While we weren’t able to move forward with pizza ovens at Motairehe Marae and Port Fitzroy Club, we hope to revisit these sites in the future. Next up, is Glenfern Sanctuary, a beautiful place where locals and visitors can connect with Aotea’s taiao.

This year, we’ve also hosted community hui and held multiple steering group meetings to make the application process simple, fair, and supportive for both mana whenua and hāpori.
